Punches

The punching is also used for cutting, drilling and forming metal sheets for various purposes: for marking of guns, license plates for cars and many other applications. To improve the strength, the hardness and the surface finish the punches must be hardened and subjected to focused heat treatments.

MECSPE 2012

More than 25.000 visitors visited the stand during the three day fair, a number higher than expected. Participation involved many sectors, from precision engineering to production of molds and tools, from the sintering of metal to brazing, and many others.

Alternated with visits to the stands there was high-level training events and conferences designed to update the operators and organized by trade associations, with the collaboration of journals of publishing group Tecniche Nuove, research centers and universities. In fact, the bending moment of the market makes it necessary to focus on innovation and quality, to be more competitive.

What does HAERTHA Trattamenti termici?

HAERTHA Trattamenti Termici was born in 2002 with the intention of entering the field of heat treatment of steels with high technological content. Over the years the growth has been constant and new plants were added to the previously substantial original investment to increase the range of propositions to the customer and the production capacity. At present, with 6 vacuum furnaces with a chance to load up to 2500 kg, our production capacity is 400 tons of special steel processed per month. To guarantee the highest quality in treatments we have also invested in a metallurgical laboratory for microstructural control of the steel treated samples in recent years. Our mission is to follow customers in the continuous improvement in production and quality that the market requires.

Drills are very different. They come in all shapes and sizes for every material to be drilled has particular characteristics: there are drills for wood, for iron, for concrete, glass and many other materials. When the drill is operating, then, the speed of rotation heats the material which loses its hardness. If the drill is notsuitable for use, warming will be faster and irreversible and will damage the drill.
